FAQ's

Q: Why is the market only open one weekend?

A: We are run entirely by volunteers, most of whom have regular full-time jobs as well.  It takes several days to set up prior to the market as well

as then pack everything up afterwards.

Q: Do you have a year-round store or website for your German “Cookie Hut” items or imported wooden decorations?

A: No. Unfortunately, we do not have the staffing for this.

Q: Will the market be held in the event of inclement weather?

A: Yes!  Only in the case of severe weather would the market be closed, and even then, we would try to limit that to only one day or part of the day.  This has never happened since 2001.  The market was only entirely canceled once – due to COVID – and that was decided well in advance.  There are plenty of indoor and covered areas to enjoy.

Q: Why does your website say no dogs & no smoking?

A: This is a Sussex County Fairgrounds policy.  Certified service dogs are always welcome.

Q: Is the market wheelchair accessible?

A: Yes, and we have ADA designated parking as well.

Q: Do you rent wheelchairs or electric carts?

A: No we do not.

Q: Is the ground level enough for walkers and wheelchairs?

A: Yes, and paved on just about all the walkways.

Q: Why do you charge admission?

A: As our event has grown, the expenses associated with hosting it have also grown.  In order to still be able to fulfill our mission of giving to local charities, we have had to begin charging a nominal admission fee…still less than other Christmas Markets in the region.

Q: How do I purchase tickets?

A: Tickets can be purchased online starting in mid-October or at the gate.

Q: Is parking free?

A: Yes, parking is free.

Q: How do I sign up to volunteer, sponsor or become a vendor?

A: Click on the Volunteer Center link at the bottom of this webpage. There are also links that provide information on how to participate as a Sponsor, Vendor, or Entertainer at the bottom of this page.
